Schule Z is the Africa’s biggest innovation and entrepreneurship competition, in which high school students between the ages of 13 and 18 compete to solve problems with global impact.
Since 2019, Schule Z has been cultivating essential business, technology and 21st-century skills in students, while strengthening teachers’ instructional approaches in entrepreneurship education.
The stages of the Schule Z competition
Schule Z is a multi-phase competition designed to nurture young innovators and entrepreneurs.
Step 1
Entrepreneurship & Tech education
For 10 weeks, students are exposed to school-based workshops about entrepreneurship and emerging technologies.
Step 2
Incubation & mentoring
Under the guidance of mentors, students form teams and build real-world startups with a significant impact.
Step 3
Entrepreneurship Competition
The top national teams will pitch their ideas to a jury during the national competition. Winners will participate in the international competition.
