We are building Changemakers, entrepreneurs and innovators.
Schule Z is the Africa’s biggest innovation and entrepreneurship competition, in which high school students between the ages of 8 and 18 compete to solve problems with global impact.
With the support of volunteer mentors and parents, teens work in teams to build startups that address real-world problems.
Mission & vision
We strongly believe that wealth creation is the key to ending poverty. We are partnering with governments, the private sector, and financial supporters to equip 50 million youth with digital skills and entrepreneurship training by 2030.
Our vision is to create an opportunity for young entrepreneurs to get into business sooner by providing an outlet for students to showcase their ideas, collaborate with their peers, and gain valuable partnerships.

Africa 2030: A Continent at the Forefront of the Fourth Industrial Revolution
In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, entirely new professions are emerging. Studies suggest that 65% of current schoolchildren will work in jobs that don’t exist today. Africa has a unique opportunity to position itself as a leader in these emerging sectors, where significant value can be created. A robust educational system is essential for navigating challenges and seizing opportunities.
While students acquire a broad range of subjects in school, they often lack exposure to emerging technologies, entrepreneurial thinking, global leadership perspectives, and practical skills. They witness the meteoric rise of companies like Google, OCP Group, UBA, and Facebook without understanding their inner workings.
We believe that fostering a more just, prosperous, and sustainable world begins with empowering young people. Equipping them with early entrepreneurial and technological skills is a fundamental step towards a brighter future that benefits everyone.

No prior knowledge needed. We expose students to emerging technologies and sciences, while training real-world skills and entrepreneurship. They learn from real entrepreneurs and technologists, not professors.
